Marilou Brisebois
Marilou is the co‑founder of Studio Parallèle Architecture Design. Passionate about architecture and interior design from a young age, she developed an early interest in spatial design.
After completing her architectural training at La Cité College in Ottawa, she went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in interior design from the Université de Montréal. This dual background allows her to support her clients both in architectural thinking and in the design of interior spaces.
Marilou places great importance on the design process, the project context, and her clients’ lifestyle habits in order to create coherent, functional spaces tailored to their needs. Her experience working alongside general contractors also gives her a strong understanding of construction constraints, enabling her to propose realistic solutions that balance budget, aesthetics, and functionality.
The collaboration between Erika and Marilou developed naturally, thanks to both their strong rapport and the complementarity of their expertise. Together, they lead large‑scale projects by working in parallel on architecture and design.

Erika Tanguay
Erika is the co‑founder of Studio Parallèle Architecture Design. From a very young age, she has shown a strong interest in design and construction.
Guided by this passion, she pursued her studies in Architectural Technology at La Cité College in Ottawa. Since graduating, Erika has worked in several well‑established firms in the Gatineau region, where she contributed to a variety of residential and industrial projects.
As an architectural technologist, Erika places great importance on plan accuracy, regulatory compliance, and the optimization of construction methods. While her strengths lie in the technical side of the field, she also greatly values the complementarity of interior design—a discipline in which she continues to learn every day alongside Marilou.
By combining their areas of expertise, Erika and Marilou form a multidisciplinary team capable of approaching each project from multiple angles. Their collaboration ensures coherence between the technical aspects of architecture and the aesthetic considerations of design, resulting in complete and well‑integrated projects.
